“Home
away from home!”” |
I

During my business in Athens I was also in other

“Wonderful
room and view!”” |
We
stayed at AVA our first time in Greece and it
was awesome! The location was very convenient,
literally a 2 minute walk to Plaka and all the
restaurants in that area. The staff was great,
the breakfast was simple but delicious, and the
rooms were very cozy and clean. Absolutely loved
it and would stay there again!

“Wonderful
Staff, Hotel & Location”” |
We
visited the Ava based on recommendations on Trip
Advisor and can 100% endorse the rave reviews.
We booked directly with the hotel, their response
was prompt and they answered a number of queries
before our arrival which reassured us. We had
a late flight arriving at the hotel around 2 a.m.
and were greeted by a smiling and friendly member
of staff. This wonderful service continued throughout
our stay with helpful tips, advice etc. We were
greeted with smiles whenever we entered or left
the hotel by all the staff. We were helped with
our return on line flight booking and cannot fault
them in anyway. Our room had a small balcony with
a magnificent view of the Acropolis. We were visiting
Athens to watch Everton Football Club play AEK
Athens and the staff were interested in our team/visit.
We were delighted when we returned to our room
after the match to receive a congratulatory bottle
of champagne!! The room was spacious, clean and
the location is perfect for sight seeing. I would
recommend a visit to the new Acropolis museum
during your stay. Most of all I would recommend
this hotel because of the staff. Thank you Ava
we will definitely return if in Athens in the
future.

“Very
convenient and scenic area with very comfortable
accommodations”” |
This
suites hotel is in an excellent area of Athens
with very comfortable accommodations. It is located
in the heart of Plaka within walking distance
of a great shopping area, restaurants, delis and
markets. The suite is well furnished with a kitchen
area including a coffee maker, stove and under
the counter refrigerator. The room for four people
had a king-size bedroom and a living area witha
sofa-bed and roll-away bed. We were steps away
from everything!!! We had a stunning view of the
Acropolis looking out over the street from our
balcony and turning the other way, we could Hadriach's
arch and other antiquities.

“Great
location in Athens” |
We were at the AVA Nov. 16-18. The staff were
wonderful. Our room was spacious, quiet and spotless.
We enjoyed the small balcony overlooking a little
courtyard. We also liked having the small kitchen
for making coffee and tea (hotel provides everything
for making these beverages).
The location of the hotel is tops. It is very
near the Plaka and a short walk to the Acropolis
and many other historic sights.
The breakfast is extra, but worth it for the convenience.
We were surprised that they served eggs, bacon
and sausage in addition to the usual European
offerings of breads, fruit, cereal, cheeses, etc

“The
Best Location in Athens!” |
We chose to
spend 3 nights at AVA as our post-cruise/honeymoon
hotel. We decided to upgrade to an Executive room
with breakfast and that was the best decision we
made. The room was huge and very quiet (we didn't
use the kitchen at all). What a great view from
our balcony; Acropolis on right, Arch of Hadrian
on left! Everything is within walking distance...can't
ask for more! Plaka is a small area, so take advantage
of this wonderful location and walk around. The
hotel only serves breakfast, but there are so many
restaurants outside to choose from. If you feel
that you are lost, look for the Acropolis as your
compass. The hotel staff were very helpful; thank
you very much for making our last leg of honeymoon
very special. We highly recommend AVA to anyone
who wants to appreciate every element of Athens. |

"What
a great way to begin our trip!” |
In September
our son treated my husband and me to an anniversary
trip to Greece, my dream destination, and the Amalfi
coast in Italy. The three of us were just delighted
with AVA Hotel, our first stop. We stayed in their
newly remodelled executive suite and were treated
as if we were celebrities. Handsome George at the
desk greeted us enthusiastically and recommended
a lovely place for dinner. When we returned we were
surprised to find a complimentary bottle of champagne!
The room was lovely to look at - chandeliers and
fine linens -- and comfortable and spacious for
all of us. Little touches, such as the trompe l'oeil
ceiling in the bathroom, potted plants on the balcony
and well-stocked kitchenette made this a truly memorable
beginning to our trip.
George and Stavros at the desk could not have been
more helpful.
The hotel is beautifully situated in the Plaka close
to the Acropolis with stunning views. |

“Location,
location, location and wonderful staff”” |
We read all
the reviews before booking the AVA and amazingly
they were all correct in the comments about this
gem of a hotel. They have a philosophy to make sure
every guest is treated like family. From the greeting
by Stavos when we arrived in the evening from a
long flight from LA to having arrangements for a
price fixed taxi that they call to take you to the
airport or port. (Much better than trying to negotiate
the taxi fare on your own)
We took the 95 airport bus to Syngama Square (buy
ticket at the kiosk just outside the terminal door
and remember to punch ticket in the machine in the
middle of the bus).
AVA has a great informational web site with all
the information including a map and the hotel name/address
in Greek. Make a copy of this to take and give to
the taxi driver. The AVA hotel really thinks of
everything.
Have a great trip and enjoy the hotel and it's prime
location in the Plaka. |

“Great
location, clean, comfortable, simple -- just perfect..”” |
All the previous
reviews are "bang on". Great location
-- easy walk from Syntagma square. The hotel is
clean, well located in the Plaka, comfortable with
very helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Everything as
described. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others
passing through Athens. Free internet access in
the lobby for quick email updates. |

“This
Is The Best Hotel in Athens
- Best Location, Best Service” |
The service
at this hotel was beyond excellent-the staff was
the best I've met in years. We had 12 people in
our group. At every moment the employees suggested
great places to dine, which sites we should see
and met our every expectation. One day a member
of our group had his birthday - the staff even delivered
us a beautiful birthday cake! This hotel has the
ideal location of being in the center of Platka
(for shopping). We stayed in a suite on the top
floor, we sat on our deck as often as we could with
exquisite views of the Acropolis. I was offered
a less expensive rate at the King George and Bretagne,
but from all we ever heard the AVA Hotel Athens
was the place to stay ... and I will recommend this
hotel to all my friends who go to Athens. |
